Stanley F. Krawson
Age 66, of Canton, passed away Sunday January 6, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones. He was born July 10, 1952 in Steubenville, OH to the late Stephen F. and Dorothy E. (Knowles) Krawson. Stanley was a graduate of Linsly Military Institute; received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in education from Mount Union College. He retired from the State of Ohio department of Probation and Parole in 2004. An accomplished musician, Stanley served as the Director of Music at various churches throughout Ohio. Stanley also had a passion for history and was a founder of The Perry History Club. Additionally, he worked at the poling precincts of the Stark County Board of Elections. He is survived by his wife, Saundra K. (Frey) to whom he was married 42 years; daughter, Amelia E. (Michael) Howard, and their children, Chloe and Claire; daughter, Abigail Krawson (Justin Schmitz); one sister, Marilyn Weeda; one brother, Stephen Krawson; beloved father-in-law, Robert Frey; honorary daughter, Allisohn Hughes; numerous nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom will dearly miss him. A celebration of his life will be Sunday January 20, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Church of the Lakes 5944 Fulton Dr. NW., Canton, OH 44718, with Pastor Jared Priset officiating.
