Paul P. Sutara

Age 81, of Canton died Friday, September 21, 2018 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Born July 19, 1937 in Sarver, PA to the late Peter and Lena (Rapasak) Sutara. He was a Canton resident since 1990 and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975 after 20 years of service. Paul attended Holy Family Parish and was a life member of VFW Post #5047, Navarre, life time member of the Air Force Sergeants Assoc, and member of Springwood Lake Camp Club. Paul was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Preceded in death by three sisters, Ann Rapsinski, Helen Pajer and Theresa Habosky. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose M. (Smulick) Sutara; four children and spouses, Denise and Don Muth, Richard and Jen Sutara, Sherry Massie (Curt Shaffer), Paul A. and Melissa Sutara; 11 grandchildren, Brenden, Jillian, Alex, Amanda, Adam, Dustin, Gabby, David, Nick, Travis and Lena; a great grandchild, Maddie and two great grandchildren due in December; two sisters, Janet Smith and Elizabeth Harris. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 1 – 4 pm at VFW Post# 5047. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Compassionate Care Center.
