Ada E. Gobeli
Age 91, of East Canton died Sunday, July 11, 2010 unexpectedly in Aultman Hospital. She was born May 9, 1919 in Alliance, OH. to the late Clinton and Mabel (Aultman) Grimes and was a life resident of Stark County. Ada was a member of East Canton Church of God where she had been active as a Sunday school teacher, youth leader, nursery worker and junior church teacher. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ross Carlisle who was killed in action during WWII; one brother, Eldon Grimes; two sisters, Gay Lawther and Rhea Mae Myers. Survived by her husband of 63 years, Norman R. Gobeli; one daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Steve Bachman of East Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Shanda Gobeli of Akron; three grandchildren and spouses, Brian Bachman and fiancée Ashley Volpe, Kelly and Chane Cline, Aaron and Shannyn Bachman all of East Canton; four great grandchildren, Jordyn, Saylor, Chay and Kelso Tank; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 11:00 am in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor Michael Jones officiating. Interment in West Beech Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church from 10 – 11 am.
