Age 85 of Canton passed away Monday February 8, 2021 peacefully in her home. She was born August 18, 1935 in North Industry, OH to the late Harvey and Julia (Seifert) Hein. Betty was a graduate of Timken Vocational High School where she received her training and licensing in cosmetology. Prior to returning to work, she was a stay-at-home Mom. She retired from the Canton Christian Home where she genuinely enjoyed working and interacting with the residents. She was an active member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, enjoying baking pies and any activities the church provided. Betty deeply loved her family and was always present for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Horner in 2019 to whom she was married 63 years; several brothers and sisters. Betty is survived by three children and their spouses, Fred and Dawn Horner, Lisa and Jeff Love, Kim and Norm Scritchfield; 10 grandchildren whom she adored, Ryan, Andrew (Jess), Cory (Erin), Kara (Chuck), Stephanie (Dustin), Cody (Julie), Ashley (Mike), Tyler, Katie and Trevor; nine great-grandchildren, Ryder, Elise, Kamryn, Lexi, Ayla, Brayden, Marley, Mila and Henry; her canine companion and beautiful baby boy, Snoopy; one sister, Doris Sommer. Friends and family will be received Thursday February 11, 2021 from 5-7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home where social distancing and facial coverings will be required. A private family service will be Friday. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church or Aultman Hospice.
