Age 64, of Canton passed away Saturday January 23, 2021 in Aultman Hospital. She was born October 8, 1956 in Canton to Robert and Bette (Fasano) Donant. Bonnie was a 1975 graduate of Louisville High School and received her LPN degree from the Canton City Schools. She was employed by the Gables of Canton and part-time by The Inn at Belden Village. She was an Associate Member of the American Legion Post #221 and a member of Springwood Lake Camp Club for many years. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Donant; brother, Thomas Donant; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Janet Smith. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Timothy A. Smith to whom she was married 44 years; one son, Allen (Karen) Smith; one daughter, Renee (James) Arnett; three grandchildren, Jemma, Isaac and Katelynn Smith; her mother, Bette Donant; two sisters, Judy (Jack) Medley and Kerstin (Bob) Chaney; two brothers, Ron (Rose) and Steve (Linda) Donant; numerous nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be conducted in Forest Hill Cemetery. A celebration of Bonnie’s life be at a future date.
