Bud Scott

Age 87, of East Canton, passed away Thursday December 8, 2022 in his home. He was born September 27, 1935 in Osnaburg Township to the late Perry and Gladys Pauline (Harkless) Scott. Bud was a 1953 graduate of Canton South High School. He retired from Allstate Insurance after 27 years of service. Following retirement, he and his wife enjoyed their winters in Englewood, Fl and enjoyed traveling in their motorhome. He was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and while in Florida, Calvary Baptist Church. Bud was a bicycling enthusiast competing in competitions across the United Sates and was the recipient of a silver medal in the Senior Olympics. He is preceded in death by one grandson, Timothy Scott Jr.; one sister, Barbara. Bud is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie June (O’Neil) to whom he was married 66 years; three sons, Timothy Scott, Steven Scott and Daniel (Michele) Scott; four grandchildren, Rachel (Albie) Kinkade, Hannah (Micah) Falde, Luke Scott and Jadon Scott; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Clayton and Dane Kinkade. A celebration of Bud’s life will be Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 11:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Jake Tovissi officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour before services on Tuesday (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canton Baptist Temple Missions at 515 Whipple Ave NW., Canton, OH 44708.
