Carla F. Blair

Carla F. Blair crossed over to her heavenly home on May 2, 2026 at the young age of 84. She was born in Canton, Ohio, on March 28, 1942 to the late Carl and Mary Young.

Carla was lucky to find love and was married on July 3, 1964, to Rev. Barnie Blair Sr. Barnie and Carla were blessed with eight children and together they raised a beautiful family built on true love and faith in Jesus. Carla would welcome any child into her home without any hesitation. She truly loved being a mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great grandma.

She also took great pride and joy in being a pastor's wife and was a faithful member at faith cathedral with her beloved husband.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Bruce (Donna), Steve, Harry, Barnie (Mary Beth) and Russell Blair, Michelle (Burt) Frenz and Jessica (Shawn) McCord; sister, Wendy Kay Mitchell; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barnie, in December of 2015; son, Dennis Blair; and her siblings, Ray, Ronnie, Thomas, Michael, Judy and Pam.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 11am until 12pm at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Avenue S, Canton, Ohio 44707. Her funeral service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Juanetta Romaine officiating. She will then be laid to rest with her husband at Melscheimer Cemetery.
