Carol S. Wright-Vincent

Carol S. Wright-Vincent, age 78, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on March 04, 2024. She was born in Williamson, West Virginia on April 6, 1945, to the late Elmer Ray Maynard and Alma Rowe (Maynard) Maynard. 

Carol’s favorite roles in life were being a wife, mother, and “GG” within the family. She welcomed friends and family with open arms upon entering the house. Not only did she have a gift of hospitality, but she had a warm personality – grandchildren and great-grandchildren were saddened when it was time to leave GG’s house! Carol was a real estate agent for more than 25 years and ended her career with Cutler Real Estate. She also retired from GE Capital after serving in the collections department for eleven years. Carol enjoyed traveling – especially to the beach. She worshipped for many years as a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.  
 
She is preceded in death by her first husband John David Wright; grandson Jeremy Havlin; siblings Colleen Gilbert, Larry Maynard, Gary Maynard and Tella Bartoe.

Those left to cherish her memories are her second husband, Earl Vincent; daughter, T. Denise Wright; son, John David (Nancy) Wright; sister, Wanda Martin; brother, Ken Maynard; stepchildren, Lynne Vincent, Paula (David) Stucki, Cynthia (Michael) Schiller, Robert (Sandy) Vincent and Richard (Sherie) Vincent; grandchildren; Doug (Nicole) Wright, Erika (Kevin) Cavanaugh, Anthony Lesko, Jimmy Wright, Andrea (Brett) Long, Alicia (Brian) Cross, Eric (Kristen) Stucki, Brittany (Derek) Taylor, Tiffany (Cody) Maxwell, Jenelle (Matthew) Modena, Amanda Vincent, Elizabeth Vincent, Peter James Vincent, Justin Vincent, Danielle (Corben) Fogle  and 12 great-grandchildren. 

Calling hours for Carol will be held on Thursday, March 7th. from 5-7 pm at the Sanders funeral home in East Canton. Her funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 8th. at Mt. Tabor UMC 108 E Walnut St, Canton, OH 44730 with one hour of visitation prior to the service from 10-11am. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park.
