Carole A. Kelley, age 89, of Louisville, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Altercare in Louisville. She was born on January 18, 1937, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Mary (McDevitt) Remesik. Early in her life, Carole moved to East Canton, where she remained a lifelong resident.
Carole dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a nurse’s aide throughout her career. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Green Meadows Health Care Center. She was a faithful member of Arlington Avenue Church of God, later known as The Father’s House.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Kelley in 1995; her biological mother, Mary M. (McDevitt) Remesik; her custodial parents, The Reverend and Mrs. Russell Barner and her sister Patty L. Grimm.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Criss and Sandra (David) McKelley; her cherished grandchildren, Angelia Criss-Smith (Cindy), David Criss, and Keith (Kayla) Phelps; five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. at The Father’s House, 3951 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. noon with Pastor Webb Parsons officiating. A private burial will be held after.
The family would like to give a big thank you to all the nurses and aids with Aultman Hospice and Altercare of Louisville for all the love and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days. May GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Father’s House Mission Program in her name.
