Carolyn L. Wentz

Carolyn L. Wentz was born on July 26, 1934 and passed away on March 29, 2025 at 90 gained her angel wings to join her beloved husband, Robert.

Carol was the ‘baby of the family’ and was born in Hayesville, NC to Paul and Minnie Ledford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Clyde “Bud”, Leslie, Ralph and Donald; sister, Grace Sherlin; and son-in-law Jack Lunsford.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Vickie Lunsford and Paula (Richard) Phillips; grandchildren, Carrie (Gary) Pfau, Rebecca (David) Roosa and Jason Stringer; three great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday April 2, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home, the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Sunset Hill Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors or a charity of your choice.
