Charlotte L. Welker

Charlotte L. Welker, age 93, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, at McKinley Health Care Center. She was born on March 9, 1933, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Samuel and Lilly Rubel.

Following graduation, Charlotte continued her education at Aultman College of Nursing, where she earned her bachelor's degree. She went on to work as a registered nurse at several healthcare facilities throughout her career, caring for others with dedication and compassion.

In her free time, Charlotte enjoyed working on puzzles, watching television, and shopping. She especially loved spending time outdoors watching the birds. She and her husband, Carl, enjoyed traveling to many different places in their mobile home. Charlotte had a special love for animals, especially Peanut, her beloved furry companion who held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Welker; her son, Mark Lewton; grandchildren, Jennifer Deibel; and great-grandchild, Cayden Sharpe.

She leaves behind her grandchildren, Jason, Jaime, Natasha, and Amanda Lewton; great-grandchildren, Caige and Chloe Fox, and Anthony and Jordyn Sampson, Christian and Keagan Sharpe, and Gunner Morehead; great-great grandchild, Walker Stanley; daughters-in-law, Anita Visnick and Tracy Lewton; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service which will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery (4414 Cleveland Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio 44709) on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 2pm.
