Christopher T. Montella

Christopher T. Montella, age 69, of East Canton, Ohio, passed away after a lengthy illness at his home on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

Born on April 2, 1956, in Canton, Ohio, he was the son of the late James and Frances (Thomas) Montella. A 1974 graduate of Malvern High School, Christopher went on to work in sanitation for The Timken Company, where he dedicated 35 years of loyal service before retiring in 2013.

Christopher was a proud member of the American Legion Post #375 in Malvern and the Sons of the American Legion (SAL). He will be remembered for his quiet strength, commitment to family, and the deep love he had for those closest to him.

He was an avid fan of all Ohio sports teams.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sharon “Sheri” M. Montella, in 2017, as well as his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jennifer Sands; grandsons, Anthony Daniels and Aiden Gates; and his brother, James (Connie) Montella; nephews Marc (Stacie) Montella and John (Fawn) Montella.

In keeping with Christopher’s wishes, there will be no public services. He will be inurned and laid to rest beside his wife Sheri at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
