Clyde Chastain, 89, formerly of East Sparta, died Sunday morning in long-term care at Hiawassee, GA, after an ongoing illness. An Air Force veteran and resident of the Canton area for many years, he had retired from the Canton Baptist Temple.
He is survived by his son, Brian Chastain; daughter-in-law, Kathy Chastain; granddaughter, Jessica Chastain; sisters, Doris Hart, Darlene Lawrence, Imogene Kimsey and Drusilla Hunter; and brother, Kenneth Chastain.
Friends may call Friday, January 12, 2024, from 5-7 PM at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Brown officiating. Inurnment will follow at Melscheimer Cemetery.
