McCourry, Cora M.
Cora M. McCourry, age 87, of Canton died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in McKinley Health Care Center following a sudden illness. Born August 31, 1921 in Waynesville, NC. to the late Cauley and Myrtle (Suttles) Beasley. She was a Canton resident since 1949 and a member of the Canton Baptist Temple. Cora was the former owner of McCourry Ceramic Shop where she taught ceramics. Preceded in death by her husband Frank L. McCourry in 1973. Survived by four children and spouses, Charles and Patricia McCourry, Virginia and Ted Chuchanis, James and Ingrid McCourry, Barb and Dave Lake all of Canton; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; numerous relatives from North and South Carolina. Funeral services will be Friday, February 13, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment in West Lawn Cemetery.
