Curtis S. Hamilton

Age 92, of Canton passed away Monday, August 1, 2022 in Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Born October 14, 1929 in Newhall, WV. to the late, Paul and Mae (Gowan) Hamilton. He was a Canton resident most of his life and was a graduate of West Virginia School of the Deaf. Curtis was retired from the Dyneer Corporation. He was a member of the Deaf Outreach Church, Canton Silent Club and the Akron/Canton Deaf Fishing Club. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra K. (Himes) Hamilton; one daughter, Tiffany (Jermaine Lewis) Lewis-Hamilton; three grandchildren, Kaneisha (Christion) Brooks, Yasmine and Shanice Agyekum; three great grandchildren, Curtis, Louisa and Willah. Following Curtis’s wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be conducted a later date.
