Daniel E. Mullane

October 19, 1951 — March 30, 2024

Daniel Eugene Mullane passed away in his home on Saturday March 30, 2024, surrounded by his family.  Danny was born in Canton, Ohio on October 19, 1951, to the late Daniel Mullane and Mary (Bernosky) Mullane. He was a life resident of the Canton community.

Danny was a 1969 graduate of McKinley High School. Following graduation, he served proudly in the United States Army with distinction and honor during the Vietnam War. He then began his career with the steel industry serving in the capacity as a machine operator for 44 years at Wallace Forge.

Danny loved spending time with his family.  He was a diehard Notre Dame fan and was extremely proud of his military service during the Vietnam war. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents; daughter Rachel Gessel; brother Richard Mullane.

Cherishing Danny’s memory are his devoted wife of 30 years, Sharon Mullane; sons Derek (Missy) and Eric Gessel; daughter Danielle Mullane; grandchildren: Charles Gordon IV and Chris Gordon and his sister Bonnie Hoskins.

In keeping with Daniel’s wishes a private service will be held at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home.  Pastor Jake Tovissi of the Canton Baptist Temple will officiate Daniel’s funeral service.  Interment will occur at Calvery Cemetery.
