David E. Giles, age 78, passed away on December 25, 2023. He was born in Canton on June 22, 1945, to the late Gerald E. and Louise (Burchett) Giles.
He graduated from Timken High School. David is a veteran of the United States Army. He retired as a metallurgical technician from Timken Steel with over 41 years of experience. David enjoyed attending car shows and swap meets. He was an avid collector of authentic toy soldiers and car parts. He also loved his grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Lois “Donna” Giles who he married on March 18, 1964, and spent over 59 years together; daughters Kimberly L. Giles and Deborah (Ron) Heaton; grandsons, Ryan (Sara) Heaton and Dylan Heaton; sister Leona (Mozzochi) and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Daymond Griffin, and a sister, Shirley Angelo.
Per David's wishes, there will be no services.
