David Q. Schmuck

Age 69 of East Canton passed away Thursday October 21, 2021, in Akron General Hospital. He was born May 22, 1952, in Canton to the late Harry W. and Ruth H. (Blum) Schmuck Sr. David was a 1970 graduate of East Canton High School and a graduate of the University of Findlay. He was the co-owner of Schmuck Farms and enjoyed a life-long career in agriculture. His commitment represented the fourth generation on the farm.  He was a member of the First Church of the Resurrection. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, Harold C. Schmuck; one sister, Mary L. Kandel; his uncle, Harold C. Schmuck MD; aunt and uncle, Martha and Bolton Strauch. David is survived by one brother, Harry W. “Mike” Schmuck Jr. (Roxie); two sisters, Elizabeth A. (James R.) Kandel and Barbara L. (Daniel L.) Ellington; eight nieces and nephews, Barbara Stewart, Guinevere Rhoads, Brian (Stephanie) Kandel, Michael (Andrea) Schmuck, Stephen (Nicole) Kandel, David Bainter, Daniel (Natalie) Ellington Jr. and Charles (Casey) Ellington; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews. A private family service will be conducted in the Sanders Funeral Home with burial in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in David’s memory to the Alumni and Friends of Osnaburg Schools Foundation Scholarship Fund at 224 N.
