Diann L. McGovern

Age 62, of Bolivar, passed away Monday August 8, 2022 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She was born September 7, 1959 in Canton to Carl G. and Nancy L. (Batten) Unkefer. Diann was a 1977 graduate of Canton South High School. She retired from Union Hospital as a medical transcriptionist in 2019 and was formerly employed Stark State College. She had attended NewPointe Community Church Dover and was the former owner/operator of 4 Paws at the Hartville Market Place. She served on the board of directors of Loving Heart Foundation which provides backpacks for Tuskey Valley Schools. Diann is survived by her husband, Jonathan Eric McGovern; one son, Kurt A. (Kristin) Velovitch; two stepchildren, Tyler (Katlyn) McGovern and Spencer McGovern; four grandchildren, Jordan, Micah, Malakai and Giavanna; her parents, Carl and Nancy Unkefer; one brother, David Unkefer (Shelley Townsend); niece and nephew, Katlin and Shane Unkefer. There are no public services scheduled. Memorial donations may be made to the Loving Heart Foundation at 10625 Laurens Dr NE., Bolivar, OH 44612.
