Donald E. Sanford

Age 77, of Carrollton, passed away unexpectedly Monday February 25, 2019 in his home. He was born September 19, 1941 in Canton to the late Joseph and Mabel (Wilson) Sanford. Donald was a graduate of Carrollton High School and a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and was a member of the American Legion Post #375 Malvern, NRA and the Carroll County Antique Tractor and Machinery Club. He is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Donald is survived by three children, Cheryl (Jon) Kellogg, Lance Sanford and Scott (Catina) Sanford; four grandchildren, Marissa Bryan, Kayleigh (Damon) Smith, Jacob and Joshua Sanford; one brother and three sisters; extended family, Colston, Tara, JD and Ryan King. Donald will be inurned with Military Honors in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A memorial gathering will be Saturday March 9, 2019 from 2-4pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton.
