Donald G. Warner, age 84, passed away peacefully at home amongst his family, and went home to be with his Savior and King on May 3, 2025. A lifelong resident of Stark County, he was born on September 30, 1940, to John and Viola (Miller) Warner in Louisville, Ohio. Don was a 1958 graduate of Louisville High School.
Don was an Air Force Veteran, serving from 1959 to 1963. He retired from Buckeye Packaging in 2006 with 34 years of dedicated service. He was an avid woodworker, and he loved nothing more than spending time with his grandkids during their regular sleepovers. Don loved his granddogs just as well, and he could often be found on his porch, watching the wildlife.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife, Diana L. (Hollabaugh) Warner, and his three brothers, Gerald, Wilbur, and Melvin Warner.
Those left to cherish Don’s memory are his two daughters, Sharon (Eric) Eckles of Minerva, Lynda (Craig) Cross of Louisville; grandchildren, Krystal, Kara, John, Grace; great-grandchildren, Jakob, Destiny, Kaisley, AJ, and Able.
A visitation for Don will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 5-7 pm at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave. S., Canton, OH 44707. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 9, at 11 am, with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Don will be laid to rest with military honors at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
