Donna J. Dale, age 92, passed away on November 13, 2023. She was born on September 3, 1931, in East Canton, Ohio, to Joseph and Julia (Kuba) Oberster.
Donna is a 1949 graduate of East Canton High School; faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she worked part time since 1982 and continued to volunteer in many capacities, also formerly volunteered at St. Paul’s Catholic Church; avid sports fan of all Ohio sports and loved playing Ticket to Ride with her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara Johnson, Mary (George) Cassidy, Susan Dale (Chris Meil), Teresa (William) Huff, Steven (Rosemary) Dale, Michael (Tammy) Dale, and Robert(Becky) Dale; 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Merlin E. “Gene” Dale in 1990; seven brothers, Louis, Joe, John, Robert, August, Arthur “Butch” and Richard; four sisters, Mary, Julia, Margaret, and Betty.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
Donna will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3430 St. Michael Blvd, Canton, Ohio 44718.
