Doris M. Stoffer, age 95, passed away peacefully at The Gables of Canton on November 2, 2026. She was born on May 1, 1931, in Bristol, Connecticut, to the late George and Marie (Gallant) Sargent.
Doris was fortunate to find a love that would last a lifetime when she married Jack L. Stoffer in April of 1952. She devoted her life to her family, taking great pride in making her house a home and caring for those she loved most. She was a faithful member of Deuber United Methodist Church in Canton, Ohio. A woman of deep faith, Doris never missed an opportunity to share her love of God with those she encountered. Her wonderful sense of humor and inner strength carried her through life's many seasons, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
In the midst of our family's time of loss and sorrow, we are greatly comforted by the knowledge of knowing our Mom, Grandma, and GiGi Loved 'JESUS' and she is now at 'HOME' with her 'LORD.'
Doris leaves behind her children, Jackie L. Beatty, David L. (Patti) Stoffer, Jodie M. Stoffer, Jay A. (Mary) Stoffer, Lisa A. (Dan) Bottler, and Bryan D. (Angie) Stoffer; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jane Wachter.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; her brother, Frank Sargent; and her children, Debbie Anderson and Danny Stoffer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Doris' memory to Refuge of Hope.
