Douglas E. Nohl

Douglas E. Nohl, age 66, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center. He was born in Canton, Ohio on August 25, 1959 to the late Donald R. and Dorothy C. Nohl. Doug was a 1977 graduate of Canton South High School.

Doug furthered his education at Ohio University where he earned his BA in Communications. He went on to work for Ohio University as a Studio Manager and Instructor before his retirement in December 2019.

Doug didn't know a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere.

Doug loved grilling for his family and friends, as well as fishing, camping, and boating. He especially enjoyed the annual M&M camping trip with his best buds, they know who they are! There was always music playing when Doug was around.

Those left to cherish Doug's memory are his loving wife, Laurie (Nichols) Nohl; step-daughter, Jordan (Denver) Reidenbach; nephews, Rod and Bryan Nohl; and niece, Colleen Edwards. He will also be missed by many lifelong friends that were more like family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Gail Nohl; sister, Cheryl Nohl; and sister-in-law, Christine Nohl.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Kreighbaum Sanders Funeral Home (4041 Cleveland Avenue S, Canton, Ohio 44707) on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10am until 12pm. His memorial service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Jeff Goggins officiating.
