It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Doug Peden, 77, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, veteran, and friend.
Born in Canton, Ohio, and a longtime resident of East Canton, Doug proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era, where he was stationed in Germany. He was deeply proud of his military service and carried that pride throughout his life. Following his service, he worked as a skilled heavy equipment mechanic, earning the respect of all who knew him for his strong work ethic and ability to fix just about anything.
Doug loved the outdoors and could often be found jeeping, searching for morel mushrooms, panning for gold, or simply enjoying nature. His adventurous spirit and appreciation for the outdoors brought him great happiness.
Above all, Doug cherished his family. He shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Linda Peden.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Evelyn Peden, as well as his son, Randy Peden.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Peden; his daughters, Heather (Ryan) Gonzalez and Molly Peden; his grandchildren, Hailey, Colton, Samantha, Vince, and Rhiannon; and his cherished great-grandson, James.
Doug will forever be remembered for his kindness, strength, love of adventure, and unwavering devotion to his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. ❤️
