Douglas “Dougy” C. Hookey
Age 32, of Canton died Saturday, September 24, 2016 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born May 29, 1984 in Canton and was a 2003 graduate of Canton Timken High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was employed by Union Metal. Dougy attended the Sanctuary Church of God. Preceded in death by his grandmother, Matilda Sell; two uncles, Charles Watts IV and John Sell. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Karrie S. (Geer) Hookey; two sons, Dillon and Colton Hookey; one daughter, Alayna Hookey; his parents, Doug and Donna Hookey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Stephanie Geer; one brother, Travis Hookey; two sisters and brother-in-law, Stacey and Frank Hamilton, Vanessa Hookey and Josh Ohler; brother-in-law, Eric Jones; two grandfathers, Raymond Sell and Charles Hookey; one grandmother, Lois Hookey; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Steve Stewart officiating. Interment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5 – 8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
