Edna “Edie” Elizabeth Cogan

Edna “Edie” Elizabeth Cogan passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025. She was born in Canton, OH on May 14, 1947 to Rodney and Ruth (Drumm) McClain.

Edie was a 1966 Tuscarawas Valley High School graduate. She was well known for working at Dave and Eds Swap Meet at the Stark County Fairgrounds. Edie retired from Marco Dental Laboratory as a delivery driver.

Her and her husband played a big role in the Stark County area cruise-in car shows. They played a vital part in the organization and logistics of the local car shows. This passion for classic cars was a tradition that they shared with their family. Edie also enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael C. Cogan who she married on September 27, 1969 and passed away in 2023 and two brothers, Ronald McClain and Bill McClain.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Michael (Michelle) Cogan; brother, Michael McClain; granddaughter, Samantha Swab; great-grandson, Briar Eaches; nephew, Seth McClain, and niece, Annick Schrader.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave S., Canton, OH 44707.
