Elizabeth “Betty” L. Trubisky

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Trubisky, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at The Inn at Belden Village, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1934, in Massillon, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Stella (Koehn) Pape, and remained a lifelong resident of the Canton South community.

Betty was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s/St. Benedict Catholic Parish, where her faith served as the cornerstone of her life. She was also active in many organizations including the Pike Grange, Sons of Italy, Columbiana Ladies of Massillon, and the Polish American Citizens Club of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Trubisky Jr., who passed on April 22, 2016; her parents; her brothers, Richard Pape and Joseph Pape Jr. ; and her sisters, Norma Kritzer and Carol Taylor.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Jacklyn Raycheck, Joni and Ted Scheetz, and Barbara Lippert; her grandchildren: Jeromy (Brandi), Tiffany, Scott (Kelsey), and Abigail; and her great-grandchildren: Isaac, Weston, Mitchell, Natalie, and Nathaniel. She is also survived by her sister, Donna (Don) Fulton; sisters-in-law, Patty Trubisky and June Trubisky.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1530 11th St. SE, Canton, OH 44707, with Rev. Frederick "Fritz" Schlueter officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior (9 a.m. - 10 a.m.) to the service. Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband at Calvary Cemetery.
