Everett “Bud” C. Perks, age 90, passed away on June 13, 2025.
He was born in Parsons, WV on February 9, 1935 to the late Garnet and Della (Haney) Perks.
Bud served his country in the United States Army from 1952-1960 which included time in the Korean conflict. He went on to work and retire from the Iron Workers Local #550 after 36 years. Bud served as the Sgt. of Arms for the Local #550 for 18 years.
Bud is preceded in death by his parents; son, Everett Jr. “Buddy”; sisters, Fannie Strawderman, Maggie Strawderman, Ada Taylor and Margaret Gates; brothers, William and Russell Perks; son-in-law, Anthony Flex.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dovie (Thornhill) Perks whom he married in 1955 and would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Dec. 13th; daughters, Catherine (Richard) Moore and Anita Flex (Mark McNutt); son, Thomas (Tammera) Perks; grandchildren, Megan Cooper, Ashley Barkheimer and Chad Moore; greatgrandchildren, Lily Ruth, Capri Pearl “Rosie” Cooper and Brandon Stallman; brother, Jim Perks; sister, Martha Alkire; dear friend, Charlie Shahan and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Noon at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - Noon at the funeral home. Everett will be laid to rest at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
