Franklin “Stoney” D. Stone
Age 76, of Canton died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born August 5, 1939 in Amsterdam, OH to the late Thomas and Mary Josephine (Foit) Stone. He was a Canton resident since 1984 and retired from the State of Ohio in 2005 where he was a state underground mine inspector. Preceded in death by one brother, Richard Stone; two sisters, Karen Tyson and Eloise “Toots” Amstutz. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Chloe A (Emhoff) Stone; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Catherine Stone of Canton; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jeff Pandrea of Canton; three granddaughters, Lindsey Stone, Jessica and Brooke Pandrea; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Irene Stone of Carrollton; one sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Wayne Stull of Amsterdam; several nieces and nephews. Following Stoney’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no services.
