Geraldine C. Domaratz, age 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 6, 2026. She was born on February 9, 1938 in Culmerville, PA.
She spent four years at Mount Saint Macrina Academy in Uniontown, PA. She held those years close to her heart. She loved school and the experience she had while attending there was very special to her. She was a previous member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and a current member of St. Joseph Parish in Cuyahoga Falls.
Geraldine, lovingly referred to as Nina, leaves behind a legacy of pure love and stability. Nina was lucky to find love young and was married to Henry "Pop" Domaratz on June 15, 1957 in Tarentum, PA. Pop and Nina spent 65 years together before his passing in April of 2023. Nina played a significant role in the lives of her children and grandchildren, she was truly the matriarch of her family.
She will always be remembered by her four children, Teresa Copen, Kathy, Frank and Anthony (Renee) Domaratz; grandchildren, Zach (Stacey), Tyler (Shelby) and Natasha Copen and Brandon and Madeline Domaratz; and her beloved four great-grandchildren who brought light to her life, Koen, Remy, Myla and Sophia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Paul Suchanyc, Michael Harding, Cynthia Stickell and David Harding; as well as several friends who she missed dearly.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Parish on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. She will then be laid to rest with her husband at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave S, Canton, Ohio 44707. Family and friends may offer condolences and share memories at:
