Gladys F. Heid

Gladys F. Heid, age 90, of Massillon, passed away on June 13, 2025 at Aultman Compassionate Care.

She was born in Canton, Ohio on August 9, 1934 to the late Luther and Anna (Callahan) Byrd.

Gladys was a 1952 graduate of Canton South High School. She was a life member of the Eden Church of Brethren.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Heid of 67 years; son, Brian Heid, brother, Jack Byrd and sisters, Barbara Hoobler and Doris Ferguson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Allen (Marcel) Heid; daughter-in-law, Cathy Heid; grandchildren, Joshua (Erin) Heid, Jason (Megan) Heid, Jonathan Heid, Samantha Heid and Mitchell (Alexa) Heid; great grandchildren, Liam, Brynley and Autumn; sister, Shirley Brumbaugh; brother, Carl (Marlene) Byrd and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Eden Church of Brethren with Pastor Tom Michaels as officiant. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 am -11:00 am) at the church. Gladys will be laid to rest at Eden Cemetery.
