Grace E. Mark

Grace Mark, 88, of Canton, OH passed away on August 28, 2026. She was born in East Canton on January 26, 1938 to the late Wilbur and Ethel (Blazey) Mark.

Grace graduated from Osnaburg High School in 1956. She later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Findlay College in 1964 and a Master of Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1971. She devoted more than 30 years to teaching in the Monroe Public Schools in Monroe, Michigan. Following her retirement, Grace returned to Canton to assist in the care of her parents.

A lifetime member of East Canton Church of God, Grace was deeply involved in the life of her church. She was known for organizing meals, writing Christmas cards, and serving for many years as head of the funeral meal committee. Her steady involvement reflected her longstanding commitment to her church community.

Grace was an avid supporter of local, national, and international charities.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gary Mark; and sister-in-law, Vicki Mark.

Those left to cherish her memory are her nephews, Brian and Shawn (Amy) Mark, and three great-nieces, Rachel, Allison, and Caitlin Mark.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at East Canton Church of God, 201 Nassau St. E., East Canton, OH 44730. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM after calling hours. She will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the East Canton Church of God.
