Harold D. Kimbel

Age 83, of East Canton, passed away peacefully Friday October 21, 2022 in his home. He was born June 11, 1939 in Canton to the late David J. and Lillian M. (Frasher) Kimbel. Harold was a 1957 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, a resident of Osnaburg Township for over 50 years and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from IBM after 26 years of service and was employed by Nationwide Insurance for several years. He was a member of Berean Bible Church where he served as an interim Pastor, teaching elder, board member and Sunday school teacher for 40 years. He is preceded in death by one sister, Susan Kimbel. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Norma R. (O’Neil) to whom he was married 60 years; two sons, Harold D. (Lisa) Kimbel II and Stephan (Theresa) Kimbel; five grandchildren, Caleb, Ashley, Mikhail (Rachel), Brandon Kimbel (fiancé, Lydia Houser) and Tara (Zach) Schlimm; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jack, Lillian and Scarlette; three sisters, Judy (Clarence) McGinnis, Sharon (Don) Fox and Dawn (Richard) Tallman. Friends and family will be received Wednesday October 26, 2022 from 6-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton. A private family service will be conducted Thursday.
