Harry L. Clayton, age 86, passed away April 21, 2024. He was born in Southview, Pennsylvania on April 8, 1938, to the late James and Annie Cathleen (Brown) Clayton. A resident of East Canton for 80 years, Harry was a 1957 graduate of East Canton High School. He was a proud veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserve.
Harry retired from Canton Local Schools in 1993 and Timken Company in 1998. He spent summers at Springwood Lake and for 20 years traveled in the winter to Jet Park in Palmetto Florida. Harry enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching his birds, and most of all spending time with his family, grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Frances (Gastin) Clayton; children, Harry II (Shelly) Clayton, Brian (Tami) Clayton, Tina (Don) Truex; grandchildren, Josh, Harry III “Lee”, Brittany, Trevor, Brooke; great grandchildren, Ayden, Hazel, Heather, Alexander and Brynn.
Per Harry’s wishes no services will be held.
