Jack L. Turske, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home on August 23, 2026. Jack brought immense joy, laughter, and light into the lives of those around him, leaving behind countless cherished memories.
He was born on April 24, 1942, in Massillon, Ohio, to the late John William and Ellen Victoria (Haer) Turske.
Jack lived life to the fullest and found joy in the simple things. He could often be found on the golf course, out fishing, or sharing his wisdom and advice with his beloved grandchildren.
Jack volunteered with the Navarre Fire Department for more than ten years and served as a Boy Scout Leader for eight years. He also proudly served in the United States Army for two years. Jack built a fulfilling career with American Electric Power, where he worked as an Electrician Designer for more than 37 dedicated years before retiring.
Jack will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Margery (Boughman) Turske; his children, Julia Turske, Michael (Dawn) Turske, and Jordan (Brandy) Turske; his grandchildren, Sinjin and Brandan Hoffman, Austin (Sarah), Mason, and Wyatt Turske, and Lexy, Dylan, and Ethan Sheffield; his great-granddaughter, Abigail Hoffman; as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John William Turske and Ellen Victoria (Haer) Turske.

Family and friends may visit at Sanders Funeral Home, 218 Nassau Street E, East Canton, Ohio 44730, on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 11am until 12pm. His funeral service will begin at 12pm. He will then be laid to rest with military honors at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
