James A. Davis

Age 78, of North Canton, passed away Monday November 28, 2016 in his home following a brief illness. He was born December 29, 1937 in Canton to the late Walter A. and Viola E. (Henry) Davis. Jim retired from Republic Locker and Storage and was a member of Indian Run Christian Church. He was a classic car enthusiast and a true handyman. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanne M. Davis in 2007; one brother, Roy Davis. Jim is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Ewing) Davis to whom he married August 20, 2016; one son, James B. Davis; six step-children, Leslie (Cathy), Larry (Cynthia), Lonny (Marilyn), Lane (Brenda) Weatherspoon, Lisa (Marcus) Letonek and Lyle David Weatherspoon; two grandsons whom Jim raised, Damien Davis and Kory Haines; two sisters, Donna Robinson and Rebecca Davis; three brothers, Robert (Dottie), Mark (Kay) and Walter Davis Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday December 1, 2016 at 10:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
