James I. Fitzgerald, aged 46, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. Born on January 28, 1978, in Man, WV., he was the son of James Carl Fitzgerald and Linda (Metheney) Fitzgerald. James resided in Canton, Ohio.
Following his graduation, James embarked on a career as a truck driver, spending 25 years on the road. He most recently worked for Terpening Trucking Co., where he drove tankers and semi-trucks. Among his many passions, James had a deep love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was known for his iconic phrase, "yanking the tank," reflecting his true passion for driving semis.
James is preceded in death by his father and his sister Noreen.
He is survived by his wife, Stacie Fitzgerald, whom he married on September 20, 2019, his daughter Ashlynn Fitzgerald, stepdaughter Caitlynn Glasure, three sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the funeral home from 4:00 pm. – 7:00 pm. to celebrate and honor James’s life.
