James D. McIntyre
Age 77, of Canton died Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness. Born March 17, 1939 in Canton, Ohio to the late Lewis and Margaret (Saunier) McIntyre. He was a life resident of Canton and retired from J & L Specialty Steel with 30 years of service. James was a member of Waco Epworth United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee McIntyre; three brothers, Lester, Jack and George McIntyre; one sister, Gloria Doney. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jane (Fry) McIntyre; one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and John Lynn of Minerva; three grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Lewis McIntyre of Minerva; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan 4, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Dan Edwards officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
