James Anthony Wallace

James Anthony Wallace, age 57, passed away following a brief illness on August 16, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic. The son of the late John and Sandra Wallace, James was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on April 26, 1969. He was a 1987 graduate of Boardman High School. Following graduation, James enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served until his honorable discharge.

James was a devoted Cleveland sports fan and loved cheering on the Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians. He also enjoyed scary movies, animals - especially dogs and cats, who were almost always referred to as Boomer or Scooter - and long walks on the beach. James had a strong work ethic and took great pride in all he did, but nothing meant more to him than his children and grandchildren. He will truly be missed by those who were lucky enough to know him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James leaves behind his three children, Anthony (Michelle), Joseph (Madison), and Marli Wallace; grandchildren, Coach Carter and Sutton; sisters, Denise and Cheri (Greg) Wallace; as well as many other family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of James’ life will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 11am until 3pm at the Foltz Community Center (224 N Wood St, East Canton, OH 44730).
