Jane (Johnson) Shaffer

Age 82 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2022. She was born in Mineral City, Ohio on September 8, 1939 to the late George and Leuretta (Taiclet) Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Jody (Jim) Tortora, Julie (Bryan) Warner; grandsons, Cory (Jess) Baughman, Cody (Tasha) Baughman, and two great-grandsons, David Baughman and Bryce Baughman; brother, George “Bill” Johnson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrold Shaffer; her twin, Joan Materna and sisters, Marjorie Stevens, Jolane Ohliger, Shirley Secrest, and Vivian Fiddler. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to her nieces, Kim Chapman and Shelly Croston for all their love and support.

In her later years of life she resided to Naples, FL.  Jane enjoyed reading (especially historical events and cities) which reflected in her younger years working at the McKinley Museum. She loved shopping, movies, flowers, and spending time with her daughters, grandkids, family, and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 2:00- 3:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm.
