Jean L. Geyer

Jean L. Geyer passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Aultman Compassionate Care surrounded by her family.  She was born on September 5, 1935, in East Canton, Ohio to the late Roy Lautzenheiser and Ida (Sluss) Lautzenheiser.  She was a 1953 graduate of East Canton High School.

Jean spent her career working in banking and worked for the Dime Bank and their acquisitions.  As her career advanced, she became an assistant manager of the East Canton branch and later the bank manager of the Lake Cable branch.  She was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in East Canton. 

She is preceded in death by her husband David Lee Geyer Sr.; siblings, Jay Lautzenheiser and Betty Hartman.

Those left to share in Jean’s memories are her children; Kay (Todd) Cole, Karen (Brian) Volzer, David (Lori) Geyer, Kris (Randy Fetters) Geyer, Fred (Laura) Geyer; grandchildren Todd (Ashley) Cole, Ben (Rebekah) Cole, Joe (Helena) Volzer, Allyson (Joel) Shawver, Kate Volzer, Mike (Lindsey) Volzer, Josh (Arcelia) Geyer, Jeremy Geyer and Hannah Geyer; great-grandchildren, Brynnley, Everly, David, Austin, Isaac, Tristan, Katrina, Lars, Santiago, Victoria; sisters, Patricia Yoho and Judy Eakin.
