Joan Stallman

Age 90, of East Sparta passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 in the Gables of Canton following a sudden illness. Born May 22, 1931 in Canton, Ohio to the late Marvin Cline and U. Gwen (Cunningham) Crawford. She was a life resident of East Sparta and a 1949 graduate of East Sparta High School. Joan was formerly employed by Lehmiller Hardware. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Order of Eastern Star Chapter#368, Pike Grange, Women’s Bowling Association, Canton South AARP and various women’s card clubs. Joan also volunteered at Aultman Hospital, had served as a 4-H advisor for 10 years and was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard Stallman in 2013; a son, Timothy Stallman; a sister, Jean Habun. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Claudia Stallman; one daughter, Monda Kay Stallman; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Doris Schlup; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sandra Crawford; a sister-in-law, Margaret Graber; several nieces and nephews. Due to family COVID exposure, all services will be private. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
