John C. Oswald

Age 73, of Magnolia, Ohio died Monday, October 24, 2022 unexpectedly in his home. Born October 12, 1949 in Canton, Ohio to Floyd Samuel and Donna (Slusser) Oswald. He was a Magnolia resident most of his life and a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. John retired from Sugardale Foods in 2001 with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Caldwell Lodge #330 F&AM Bolivar, Ohio. Preceded in death by his wife, Loran M. Oswald in 2017; his father, Floyd Samuel Oswald; two sisters, Natalie Sanford, Debbie Reynolds; one brother, Paul Oswald. He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Lumbert; a son, Greg Oswald; four grandchildren, Cristen, Joshua, Tyler and Alexis; three great grandchildren, Jonathan, Lucas and Marshall; his mother, Donna Oswald; a brother, Dan (Georgia) Oswald; two sisters, Elizabeth Trent and Adella Clough; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
