Joseph P. Csuti
Age 98, of Canton died Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a brief illness. Born December 25, 1919 in Akron, Ohio to the late John and Anna (Lovro) Csuti. He was a life resident of the Canton area. Joe was a U.S. Army Ranger WWII veteran with the 30th Infantry Division and served in the Normandy Invasion on Omaha Beach. He was the former owner/operator of a Sohio/BP fuel and oil distributorship. Joe was a member of St Anthony/All Saints Catholic Parish. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen Csuti in 2002; two sisters, Veronica Gwynn and Catherine Russell; two brothers, Steve and Peter Csuti; one great grandson, Daniel Robert Udeck Jr. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Bob Udeck, Nancy and Tom Eckinger; three step daughters, Carol and Mike Gravilla, Robin and Allan Sigler, Rhonda and Andy Popa; eight grandchildren, Dan (Mary) Udeck, Todd (Tracy) Miller, Kurt (Michelle) Miller, Matthew (Aida) Gravilla, Beth (Jerome) Greenwald, Mike (Sarah) Sigler, Kelly (Nick) Ciapetta, Lisa Popa; 11 great grandchildren, Isabella Udeck, Dylan and Kyra Miller, Ethan, Lilly and Joselynn Miller, Elston and June Greenwald, Evan and Olivia Sigler, Elliot Ciapetta; one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Barbara Csuti; two sisters and brother-in-law, Anne Spence, Rose and Lloyd Snyder; numerous nieces and nephews; a close friend and fellow veteran, Eli Rivera. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018 at 10:00 am in St Anthony/ All Saints Catholic Church, 1530 11th Street SE, Canton, OH 44707, with Fr Tom Kraszewski and Fr. Tom Bishop Concelebrants. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Memorial donations may be made to the Aultman Compassionate Care Center or the Pegasus Farm designated for the Military Family Center.
