Joseph E. Vitangeli

Joseph Edward Vitangeli, 85 of Canton Ohio, passed away on February 29, 2024; born on March 8, 1938, to the late Elsie and Scotty Vitangeli of Canton Ohio.  After graduating from McKinley High School, he studied business at Kent State University. After a successful career with Amoco, in the Chicago area; He relocated to California in 1978 and started his own direct mailing company.  

 
In 1996 he married Darlena (Dolly) Harbert on the Golden Gate Bridge.  

Joe is survived by his children Gina and Scott; from his first marriage to Patricia Dunne; his stepchildren Tim and Kimberly, his grandchildren Charlene, Kyle, Garrett, Taylor, Jeannette, Austin, Merina, Dustyn, and his great grandchildren Zerina, Madison, Kalani, Mia, Ren, Sloane, and Harper (Joe).  

The only thing Joe enjoyed more than golfing, a good bottle of wine and cigars, was spoiling his wife Dolly.  

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Tunnel –To Towers, an organization that Joe felt strongly about.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 10 am. – 12:00 pm. at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. (Noon), at the funeral home. Joseph will be laid to rest at Calvery Cemetery.
