Joy Barlow Zook

Joy Barlow Zook, age 88, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at St. Joseph Care Center.  She was born February 13, 1934, in Canton Ohio to Ray and Isabelle Schwartz.

She graduated from Timken High School and was a member of Canton Baptist Temple for over 60 years, where she sang in the choir.  Joy worked for Timken Company and Chick-Fil-A and loved bird watching, gardening, and planting flowers.

She is survived by her husband, Vern Zook; daughter, Cindy (Randy) Erickson; sister, Maryanne (Bob) Koons; grandson, Christopher (Juli) Erickson; great-granddaughter, Eleanore Joy Erickson; niece, Rhonda (Chuck) Wingerter; nephew, Jeff (Betty) Koons; and stepchildren, Rochelle (Todd) Scott and Steve (Terry) Zook.

Service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Canton Baptist Temple, Henniger Ministries Center (Door S), 515 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, OH 44708.  Friends may call from 10:00-12:00 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canton Baptist Temple.
