Katie E. Leggett, age 80, of Canton, died Thursday morning July 1, 2004 in Country Lawn Nursing Home following an extended illnesss. Born on November 29, 1923 in Doddridge County, WV., daughter of the late Ellis and Mary E. (Hart) McKinney. Resident of the Canton area since 1950, she was a member of Dueber United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Elmore "Jack" Leggett Jr. in 1992; three brothers, Emory, Darrell and Victor McKinney; two sisters, Cathlean Humphrey and Minnie McKinney. Survived by a son, Randall (Susan) Leggett of Canton; two daughters, Linda Osborn of Canton, Robin (Mark) Diamond of Waynesburg; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Aldine McKinney of Elyria; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday July 6, 2004 at 3pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Grace Baughman officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery in East Canton. Friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
