Kevin L. Morrison, 67, of Canton, passed away at his home on October 24, 2026, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Canton on May 6, 1959, to the late Charlie A. “Bud” and Bernette “Faye” (Cooper) Morrison. Kevin was a 1976 graduate of Canton South High School.
Kevin dedicated more than 20 years of his life to serving his country in the United States Navy. Throughout his distinguished naval career, he served honorably at numerous duty stations and completed assignments overseas. His time in the Navy was an important part of his life, shaping many of the experiences and memories he carried with him. It was also during one of his overseas assignments that he met Elsa, the woman who would become the love of his life and his wife of more than 40 years. Their marriage was built on a lifetime of shared experiences, love, and family.
Outside of his military service, Kevin enjoyed traveling with Elsa and exploring new destinations together. He also enjoyed playing cards, visiting casinos, and preparing meals for the people he loved. While he found pleasure in these activities, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those moments with the people closest to him were among the most meaningful parts of his life.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Chuck Morrison; and his uncle, Bob Morrison.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Elsa (Elefane) Morrison; his daughter, Lovlyn (Kyle) Moore; his grandchildren, Lillyann, Maryann, and William “Benji”; and his great-grandchildren, Jay-Dee and Maelynn.
In keeping with Kevin’s wishes, private cremation services will be held. In honor of his years of service to our country, friends and family are encouraged to consider making a donation to a charitable organization that supports veterans and those who continue to serve in the United States Armed Forces.
Honor – Courage – Commitment
