LaBertha Ann Cherry

LaBertha Ann Cherry, age 96, passed away on June 26, 2023.

She was born on February 6, 1927, in Fallen Timber, Pennsylvania to Thomas & Mary (McCusker) Harris.

LaBertha was employed by Peoples Cartiage and at LuMinkos Restaurant; she was a member of Eden Church of the Brethren, and the Eastern Star Chapter #368 in Bolivar.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Jackie (Bob) Klinger, Peggy (Duke) Connors; sons, V. Lee “Bud” Cherry Jr., James Cherry, Bill (Yong Suk) Cherry; Terry Cherry, Terry (Amy) Cherry Jr., and 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 8 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vivian Lee Cherry in 1995; daughter, Maudie Smith; brother, Arthur Harris; 2 sisters, Pearl Jozwiakowski & Martha Piper; stepsister, Anna Page, and a grandson George Arnold II.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2023, 2pm. Calling hours will be two hours prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m, with Eastern Star Service beginning at 12pm at Eden Church of The Brethren, 4437 Richville Dr SW, Canton, OH 44706. LaBertha will be laid to rest in Eden Church Cemetery.
